DYI Recovery Drink: Turmeric Iced Tea
Your green tea can be even healthier with a dash of turmeric, ginger and refreshing lime juice.
INGREDIENTS
3 cups water
1 teaspoon ginger root, minced
2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
1/3 cup raw honey
2 green tea bags
Ice
Freshly squeeze lime
INSTRUCTIONS
In a medium pot, combine the water, ginger, turmeric, honey, and salt.
Simmer for 10 minutes then turn off the heat. Add the green tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
Strain the mixture using a fine mesh strainer and then allow to cool.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, pour the tea over the ice, and then squeeze fresh lime juice over the top.
